The Advantages of Air Source Heat Pumps

Choosing an Air Source Heat Pump from Alto Energy for your project has many advantages, and through our unique experience and expertise we ensure that these advantages are optimised.

Government Grants

Air source heat pumps are an eligible technology under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (“BUS”) Grant. Through the BUS grant, eligible projects can get a grant of £5,000 towards the cost of a air source heat pump. As an MCS accredited installer, Alto Energy will administer this grant on your behalf.

Comply With Building Regulations

Heat pumps and underfloor heating save carbon dioxide emissions compared with conventional fossil fuel technologies and radiator distribution. These carbon savings contribute to towards your compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations.

Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

Heat pumps save a significant amount of carbon dioxide emissions compared to all traditional fossil fuel alternatives. As a larger proportion of the UK’s electricity is supplied from zero and low carbon sources, such as offshore and onshore wind turbines, so heat pumps’ emissions from the electricity they consume becomes lower and lower. At current emission rates, heat pumps will generate carbon emission savings of over 80% compared with traditional fossil fuel heating systems like oil and gas boilers.

Reduced Heating Costs

Air Source Heat Pumps are very efficient when they are designed and installed correctly. Our business model at Alto Energy is to combine our unique design capabilities with the skill and expertise of our installation partners, to ensure that the end result is a complete heating and DHW system that costs as little as possible to run. Savings versus traditional electric, oil and LPG heating systems can be as high as a 75% reduction in running costs.
