New Build Bungalow with a Mitsubishi Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump providing a complete heating and hot water solution.
To avoid “rising fuel prices”, Mrs Avenell decided to install an air source heat pump in her new build bungalow, future proofing her home. With a flow temperature of just 45°C distributed through underfloor heating, a heat pump was the obvious choice. Mrs Avenell made the switch to renewable heating after previously using a gas boiler in her recent property, and has found the system “runs itself”.
As well as having an efficient heating system, Mrs Avenell will also receive £6,478 through the Renewable Heat Incentive “RHI” grant. The RHI is based on the amount of renewable heat the heat pump produces and is paid quarterly over a 7 year period, enabling Mrs Avenell to recoup most of the up front cost of the heat pump. The RHI is open to new applicants until the 31st March 2022 and is even more generous for ground source heat pump installations.

What this means for Mrs Avenell though is a 5 year parts & labour warranty (compared to the standard warranty of 3 years), resulting in further peace of mind.
