Originally, we were working on 2 houses and had already paid for the heat pumps and cylinders from a manufacturer. At the time, the manufacturer was having supply issues. In the end, we pulled out of the order because one of the houses had been sold and we were worried that the owners would be left with no heating system. We then found Alto Energy, who had stock available, so we ordered the heat pumps through them. The whole process was very good.
Taking environmental considerations seriously, Wellies Day Nursery displayed a strong commitment to the environment while renovating their barn into a modern preschool. During a conversation with Helen Hobbs, the Managing Director of the Nursery, she highlighted that factors such as escalating fuel expenses, a focus on sustainability, and the desire to minimise the preschool's carbon footprint were significant drivers behind their decision to opt for an air source heat pump.
Heating engineer, Mr Peacock, installed an air source heat pump for his own property as he wanted to reduce his bills and use a greener source of energy. Mr Bleasdale’s aim to “provide a new dwelling with minimum fuel bills and good EPC rating” resulted in him looking towards an air source heat pump for his new build project. “Ditch gas for a cleaner energy”. That was the plan for one of Alto Energy’s recommended installation partners, Craig Cutler, who did just that by installing a heat pump in his own home. Craig replaced a gas combi boiler with the new Worcester Bosch Compress air source heat pump, distributed via radiators throughout the whole house. He is now saving around £45 per month on fuel bills.
With a desire to reduce his carbon output, Mr Hardie decided to retrofit an air source heat pump into his existing property to replace his fossil fuel gas boiler, enabling him to do exactly what he set out to. In fact, Mr Hardie can expect to make CO2 savings of 5.1 tonnes per year. This is 75% fewer emissions than his old fossil fuel gas boiler.
Mr Prothero had installed air source heat pumps on various projects before. Now venturing on a barn conversion for his own project, he decided to go down the ground source heat pump route. With a project to heat the barn conversion efficiently and cost effectively; to reduce his carbon footprint; and with land available for the outside pipework, a ground source heat pump made perfect sense.
Mrs Hewitt from Cheshire had an aim to incorporate a renewable technology heating system to her new build property in Cheshire. She achieved that by installing an 8.5kW Mitsubishi Ultra Quiet Ecodan, motivated by rising fuel prices and carbon reduction as her main reasons to install the air source heat pump system.
