We recently celebrated our two-year anniversary from when we first started trading and opened our telephone lines. Read on to find our more about how we started, the milestones we have achieved so far, and what the next 12 months have in store for us.
The business was established based upon a core of strong technical knowledge and experience with heat pumps in the UK domestic housing sector. Our clear vision was to use this experience to mould a company that meets the specific demands and needs of existing IVT customers, as well as to attract new customers to the world of heat pumps.
A defining principle of our business is the investment in our staff; we only use our own employed engineers, all of whom hold the full range of qualifications required to commission, maintain and service Heat Pump systems. Our skilled staff are our strongest asset, enabling us to provide our customers with the peace of mind that their Heat Pump system is expertly designed to meet the demands of their specific property, and continue to operate as efficiently as possible for years to come.
All 13 staff who were with us on Day 1 are still with us today, and we’ve also added a new engineer - Blake Steptoe - who we took on as last summer, making us 14 in total.
What We’ve Achieved So Far
Our team of 5 trained heat pump engineers are constantly out and about providing service and maintenance, not only to IVT customers, but to Mitsubishi and Samsung heat pumps as well.
At the time of writing, we have provided a total of 2461 service visits.
New Heat Pumps Commissioned
On top of providing services to existing heat pump customers, we’re also busy commissioning the new heat pumps we’ve been specifying.
As well as specifying IVT ground source heat pumps, we also supply IVT air source heat pumps, Mitsubishi air source heat pumps and Samsung air source heat pumps.
We operate on a nationwide basis (which at times has its challenges!), and the map here shows all the locations we’ve commissioned heat pumps.
At the time of writing, we have commissioned 279 new heat pumps throughout the UK.
What our customers say
We ask every single customer for their feedback following an engineer service visit. Whilst we set out our stall on day 1 to provide great service, there are always things you can do to improve. It is a key part of our ethos to form a strong working relationship with our customers, and we think keeping an open,constructive dialogue with our customers is the best way to mould the business to provide our customers with the service they expect.
At the time of writing, we have received 609 responses to our SurveyMonkey customer satisfaction survey, with an average customer satisfaction score of 4.7 / 5.

Making Heat Pumps Simple
From the very beginning, here at Alto Energy we were determined to use our experience to make it as easy as possible for installers, developers and homeowners to access the many benefits of Heat Pump technology. Our technical department strives to lead the industry by example on compliance with the complex industry standards, in order to ensure that all the installations we commission are of the highest quality and efficiency, and crucially gain access to the Government grants and incentives available on these technologies.
