The Mitsubishi Ecodan heat pump is the next generation of the UK's best-selling heat pump range, now running on R290 propane — a natural refrigerant with a global warming potential of just 3. For installers looking to offer a genuinely low-carbon heating solution without compromising on performance or reliability, it's a compelling choice.
Available in outputs from 5kW to 12kW across single and three phase configurations, the R290 is well suited to a wide range of domestic retrofits and new builds. High flow temperatures up to 75°C mean it can work with existing radiator systems in most properties, and independent Quiet Mark accreditation backs up Mitsubishi's claim that it's one of the quietest units on the market.
For properties close to the coast, a factory-coated coastal variant is available with enhanced corrosion resistance as standard.
