Proud to Join Nesta's Start at Home Stand at InstallerSHOW
This year, Alto Energy will be attending InstallerSHOW as part of Nesta's Start at Home stand.
For us, this is more than just another industry event. Being invited to participate on the stand is recognition of the work we’ve been doing to help drive heat pump adoption across the UK, improve customer outcomes, and support installers delivering high-quality heat pump installations.
We're proud to be working alongside Nesta as part of an initiative focused on overcoming some of the biggest barriers to wider heat pump adoption.
What Is Nesta's Start at Home Programme?
One of the biggest challenges facing the heat pump sector is helping homeowners understand the technology and feel confident making the switch.
Nesta's Start at Home scheme takes a practical approach to tackling that challenge.
The initiative is designed to help installers experience heat pump technology first-hand by installing a heat pump in their own home. This gives them direct experience of living with the technology, allowing them to have more informed and confident conversations with customers.
When homeowners ask questions about comfort, running costs, system performance or day-to-day use, there is real value in speaking to someone who has experienced it themselves.
The programme is helping create more heat pump advocates within the industry while improving confidence in the technology among both installers and homeowners.
Alto Energy's Involvement in Start at Home
We're particularly proud to be part of the stand because Alto Energy has already delivered a significant number of projects through the Start at Home scheme, with many more currently in progress.
Through our experience designing, supplying, commissioning and supporting heat pump installations, we've helped installers successfully make the transition to low-carbon heating within their own homes.
Those projects have reinforced something we see every day: when heat pumps are designed, installed and commissioned correctly, they deliver excellent results.
We've also seen first-hand how important the right support structure can be for installers taking part in the scheme. One installer, Andy from V4 Renewable Solutions, who completed a project through the Start at Home scheme, commented:
"What really stands out is the umbrella scheme. It removes a huge amount of administrative pressure and compliance headaches that installers have to deal with. Knowing that certification, compliance, and support are handled properly allowed me to focus on what I do best."
Being selected to join Nesta at InstallerSHOW reflects the expertise we've developed through these projects and our wider commitment to improving standards across the industry.
