Today millions of children are expected to join a global climate strike. Protesters are demanding an “end to the age of fossil fuels and climate justice for everyone”. The event has been sparked by campaigner Greta Thunberg, who is attending a protest in New York.

Why Do Heat Pumps Make A Difference?

Heat pumps utilise free solar energy stored in the ground or the air. Whilst heat pumps consume electricity to operate, they typically only consume 1 unit of electricity for every 4 units of heat delivered. And furthermore, as the UK decarbonises it’s electricity grid, through the introduction of more solar and wind power, the emissions produced by this electricity is becoming lower and lower.
