Setting Your IVT Air Source Heat Pump To Run On The Back Up Immersion

We thought it might be useful for customers to know how to switch their IVT air source heat pump over to back up immersion, in the event of a fault on the heat pump. We have done the same for the ground source heat pump here.

The instructions you need to follow to put your heat pump on to the back up immersion are detailed in the help sheets below, which are available for you to download.

DISCLAIMER

The back up immersion is essentially an electric boiler. As such, your running costs will be significantly higher. Alto Energy Limited accepts no responsibility for customers incurring additional running costs as a result of following these instructions.

What if this doesn’t work?

If you have tried to put your heat pump on the back up immersion, or your heat pump is faulting in a way that it won’t allow you to use the immersion, then you will need to speak to someone in our technical support team. Please call us or submit a contact form below and we will call you back.
