SETTING YOUR SAMSUNG Gen6 HEAT PUMP TO RUN ON THE BACK UP IMMERSION HEATER

How To Turn On The Immersion Heater Using The Settings For Your Samsung Gen6 Heat Pump

In the rare event that your Samsung Gen6 stops working and leaves you without hot water, you can use the heat pump control panel to turn on the immersion heater to produce hot water. The immersion heater is essentially a back up electric boiler that can produce hot water at times of need. It should not be left running permanently and should be used sparingly due to the significant increase in costs.

The guide and video we have created provides a temporary solution for when you are left with no hot water. If you need to turn on the immersion heater, it indicates there is an issue with your heat pump that needs resolving. This will likely mean you need an engineer to visit your property or further technical support from our tech team.

Below you will find a ‘How To’ video guide and a downloadable help sheet that will walk you through the steps needed to turn on the immersion heater.

In this video, our Senior Commissioning Engineer, Martin, talks through how to turn on the immersion heater using the Samsung Gen6 heat pump control panel. He also demonstrates how to restart your heat pump if you've suffered a power cut or have a technical fault.
